I went to novel spoilers and saw someone commenting the same questions I had in which someone replied but it still doesn't explain how the swan touched the locket of it was with MC? I also don't like the fact that MC is so obsessed with swan. I get that because of her MC could get into the dukedom but still it is too much for me when MC rejects goodwill of others when they haven't even saw swan.

Okok if I remember correctly, Swan got the pendant powers bc the pendant latches on to the weakest life nearby. Again, Swan was supposed to die wayyy earlier than she did, like as a baby, but the pendant gave her a couple more years.
