in their case, iirc, both of them tried the procedure (since ycy wants to get pregnant himself lol) but its only successful for the puppy (for now). if it's a same sex couple, they can do this way to have a child.

i just had to reread this after finishing the spin-off and it's a different kind of experience (in a good way).
for example, when i read the kyoto & 4 gods arc w/ the trio animal youkai fighting together for the first time, i just thought it was pretty cute. but reading it after the spin-off made me think that their synergy and trust in each other is in another level.

i love how mc delivers his points and arguments while being chill. he can pass off as a lawyer
i love how he cherishes leo and how he just wants her to be happy and safe. and despite him being protective, his way of educating her is strict and at the same time, he makes sure that it'll align to leo's personality.
cuz most of the FLs i've seen, parents/guardians just let them girlboss bc they knew FLs are capable. here, pelio knew leo is capable, but he still makes sure the she is being taken care of as A CHILD.
and yes there might be similarities to other stories but theres just smth here that feels so different. it's like... actual parenting. unlike others that i feel like it just revolves around business and politics DURING childhood and tea parties lol. its just a breath of fresh air for me.
Yeah their first Interaction was indeed interesting, like how eerily mature leo is but Phelio interacts with her like she's a kid with a bratty attitude. And parenting is indeed visible in this one
Pelio truly wants leo to enjoy being a child while she is one. they're both learning—pelio as a parent and leo as an heir (and transmigrator). and it will always be the case up until the end of the series
