no explanation so far, but ahn (the uke) hates his father's concubine because she slashed his neck for reason yet unknown. so when the concubine gave birth to the child (supposedly ahn's younger step brother, but we still dont know whether ahn's father is really the dad since he died before the concubine gave birth), ahn wanted to pay her back by hurting the child as well. however the concubine died after giving birth to the child. thats why ahn told the child he did his revenge for him (killing the concubine), and held back from hurting the child
