doesn't matter how he repented, he is not a good character for me personally. what he did no matter his ending was unforgivable for me. yes, it is realistic but damn! I was reading the novel and I don't like him at all.

The fun thing about these reincarnation comics is that the main characters can use the knowledge from their previous life, but athanasia atm is acting the way she looks, like a child.
Whether reincarnated or not, you can't expect someone from a peaceful world with an average background to all of sudden be a genius at politics.
That's not what I'm expecting. When I said knowledge, I meant the knowledge she acquired when she read the book she got reincarnated in. Thats usually really helpful for these types of protagonists, but athanasia no longer seems to be utilzing that knowledge (or rather the author of the webtoon)

Tbh you’re right but I think it’s also due to unreliable narrative that can be seen when books have only one perspective? Like the book states Claude left Her mother to rot away when he deflowered and impregnated her which we know that’s not the case and never hinted about anything about dark magic either. In the early chapters, athy also stated that while the empire looked at him as a hero, he actually killed his brother for power which again, we know is not true. And with the previous point, we know the nobles don’t favor claude right now bc of his commoner blood, and bc of athy’s dancer mother. Over all, the knowledge in the book is useless in her present as there’s no mention of so many things such as that really old emperor who possessed Claude’s brother, hell even Lucas, or the fact that OG athy possessed such significant mana.
In Athy’s case it’s really different as the plot of the “book” she’s read has taken such a significant and dark turn with no mentions of these things at all so she can’t utilizes her knowledge anymore since the OG book was meant to be happy and surrounded Jeanette and it ended with Jeanette’s happy ending.

Right? I'd like to be hopeful towards his mom, but I'm being cautious. She could be throwing a fit and acting like a shitty person like the other mom, but she's just sad and confused right now. So I'm hoping that means she'll come around and learn to accept her son sooner rather than later. But prejudice is a hard thing to break through and there's always a chance she'll make a full move into "angry denial" territory.
