I think the dragon's dad was being an as*hole after finding out about his wife and son being dragons and did a total 360 that's why she got angry and killed him. But the humans spun the story to fit their narrative
Artist could've atleast played with colors and use different hair colour on all of them.. atleast that way we could've recognised who's who
