Well, this story can't please everyone so if you can't handle Jaehyuk at his lowest point then just drop it as early as you can, because it's likely that no matter what character development he gets, it won't be enough for you
I mean this story never tried to be deep anyway. I personally got hooked from the hate sex and both their pettiness. I stayed because I like Garam and found Jaehyuk goofy enough to root for. So for me, the development feels rewarding lol

I truly don't understand why people hate him that much. Finding him super annoying ok, but hate? This is a light storyline and his character was meant to be funny all along. REAL
He's way less harmful than other jerk semes, and Garam knows how to put him in place so their dynamic is more balanced. Also, despite him being trash, it's been shown here and there that he does gradually care about Garam. On top of that, he's so fucking stupid and goofy and that overall, he's really not such an unlikeable character. I found him and their dynamics entertaining from the start.

- After the phone call with Bohyun, Garam immediately heads out to go to the bar. He thinks that he's crazy for trusting Jaehyuk. He imagines showing up at the bar to see Jaehyuk kissing a girl, then he remembers the way Jaehyuk looks at him while he was laying on his lap, and he stops in his track.
- When Jaehyuk asks him if he was crying, he says he wasn't. Jaehyuk tries to explain that Garam is misunderstanding something but Garam cuts him off and says he didn't want to talk about it.
- Garam heads to his room while Jaehyuk asks if Garam really doesn't care about him and whether he leaves the house or cheat on him. Jaehyuk says, "Right... I'm sorry. You don't even like me, but I was hoping for too much."
- Jaehyuk was walking away when Garam actually goes out of his room and tackles him from behind. While crying, Garam says, "Who doesn't like you?!" He says he was gonna let it go. He tells him about how he planned to go to the bar to check everything with his own eyes but he thought about what happens next and it's that it would be over for them. He just tried to keep it in.
- Jaehyuk hugs Garam and says sorry for getting mad over nothing and leaving the house. He says he really didn't do anything shameful and asks for Garam to trust him. And Garam says he wants to believe Jaehyuk too.
- Garam still worries in his thoughts about what if he gets betrayed again, but then Jaehyuk says, "What if I get a chastity belt or something?"

This was a rollercoaster of emotions on every level. From Garam’s imaginations to Jaehyuk’s desperation, our guys didn’t disappoint!! I truly hope Garam is able to finally open up and let Jaehyuk in. I know Jaehyuk has some redeeming to do on his part for how awful he was in the beginning, but he has demonstrated that he truly cares for Garam. I just want them to work out!!
Yeah Jaehyuk can't blame Garam for having these doubts. But also I do think this chapter showed how much space Jaehyuk had taken up in Garam's heart. Garam tried to hold it in and let the issue go all because he didn't want to end things with Jaehyuk, he would've never done that in the earlier seasons

- Bohyun answers the call. Garam asks if isn't Jaehyuk's phone. Bohyun is surprised that it was a man's voice and asks, "Isn't this Jaehyuk's gf's number?" and Garam says it isn't. He then hears girls' voices who were being invited to Jaehyuk and friends' table. He asks where they are.
- Jaehyuk gets back from the restroom and asks why there are suddenly people he doesn't know on their table. His friend tries to introduce him to the girls, but Jaehyuk gets pissed because he already told them he was dating someone. He takes his phone and tells them he's leaving.
- Bohyun tells him to stay for a while because his friend who called says he'll be joining them. Jaehyuk finds out it was Garam and rushes home.
- Garam isn't picking up his phone and when Jaehyuk got home, he wasn't there. Jaehyuk was about to head out to look for him but Garam was by the door when he opens it. Garam walks past him though Jaehyuk notices something and grabs his hand. He asks if Garam has been crying.
Oh I forgot to mention, Jaehyuk was worried about Garam misunderstanding the situation especially because he knows he did stupid things in the past. That's why he's rushing home.
Thank you as always! I was afraid this was going to happen. His friend just couldn’t help himself and answered the phone… ugh!! Garam obviously was crying, but this could actually be for the best in that maybe now he realises he’s been taking Jk’s feelings not as seriously and this may finally be just the thing needed for them to communicate their feelings clearly to each other. Fingers crossed next week is going to be a good one!!!
The next chapter is gonna be so good, I can't wait to see how this plays out. I really wanna know Garam's POV about this.

According to Garam's conversation with his friend from last week chapter, his feelings are not as strong as Jaehuyk's ones. He even expressed his surprised at why Jaehuyk is taking their relationship so seriously. Maybe this last event made him realize he likes Jaehuyk a bit more than he thinks. I hope so otherwise he would literally be playing around with Jaehuyk's feelings
I swear Garam likes Jaehyuk more than he can show and I think he knows this. He just really needs to heal from his issues caused by his past to pour out all his feelings. Something about his ex caused his present self to clam up/shy away from affection, even though he was previously the type to say "I like you" and initiate a kiss based on the flashback with his ex.
I just also hope they can resolve this soon because imagine how cute they would be when Garam learns to be more affectionate again

- Garam is with Sunhong at the cafe. Garam supposes that Jaehyuk feels the same way he felt back with his ex. It's like begging for affection since the relationship started because he liked his ex first, and he knew that the other's feelings weren't as strong as his. He thinks that Jaehyuk is surprisingly serious about their relationship and that the problem is himself.
- Sunhong says it's a shame that they're breaking up, but the idea of it shocks Garam.
- Meanwhile, Jaehyuk is out drinking with his friends and is complaining about how the person he's dating doesn't even contact him after a fight.
- When his friend tells him some girls are interested, Jaehyuk asks if he's crazy and says he's already dating someone (his friend says he dgaf about that before). When his friend says, "They don't like you very much," Jaehyuk says "Who doesn't like who? We're dating because we like each other." Then when his friend thinks this person is just using him for money, Jaehyuk says this person already makes a fuss about being gifted with clothes.
- Jaehyuk then goes on a rant saying his partner is ugly but cute and that they're just dating for a while and he could end things with a difficult person (same old shit talk) when his phone rang. He immediately checks it only to be disappointed that it's not Garam. He thinks Garam doesn't care about him.
- Jaehyuk excuses himself to go to the bathroom. He left his phone and his friend tried to look for pics of his girlfriend but it was locked. The phone rang though and the caller ID is alternating fountain and heart emojis (a reference to when Garam squirted like a fountain ).
