The thing is, he's actually a lot more relevant in the MC's novel but it seems like the MC himself is slowly taking his place (other than the rival part of the og MC, but even that we don't rly see in the story. So it's like isn't even doing the role he was meant to be doing in the og story) so he isn't rly relevant in our story other than us knowing his actual relevance in the og one.
At first I thought he'd be someone who worked against the MC or caused trouble but it seems like that's not the case at all? At best he's a bully and that's all. Almost a background character if not for him being close/knowing the mc's
