They both suffer from different types of Trauma (specifically sexual), that causes them to regulate and express their emotions in a very self destructive and Toxic way, but through all their arguments and fights they come to realize that they aren’t alone in their sufferings and that they are both similar in many different ways…sooooo they develop feelings for each other (without realizing it’s romantic), because they haven’t experienced heathy romantic relationships so it becomes very obsessive (mostly on cirrus part)…but also Skylar has a hard time realizing that him pushing cirrus feelings away.. because he’s had very bad experiences with his sexuality is affecting their relationship etc etc... but soon they start to communicate and Skylar finally speaks up about his trauma which makes things healthier..that’s all we know so far !…..(this is the best way I can describe it ..if anyone wants to add on or say their opinion go ahead!(⌒▽⌒).

Both boys have different background problems.

Cirrus: dead mother and dysfunctional family background, loneliness, being victim of bullies who made him push to make a fake personality and a fake persona.

Skylar: his sexual orientation (mainly) because once he was open about it he lost a friend and became a victim of bullies, depression and anxiety.

I think u should seriously give it a try. It’s not too heavy. They are actually pretty common issues one might have.

Hiiiiii, I am a huge otoge fan lmao… not a lot of gay ones out there which are fluffy ngl, and most you gotta spend money on. If you have a PC, I used an illegal steam game downloading site, but it’s not impossible on a Mac (I tried but I didn’t want to open windows on my computer so I gave up)… the games I recommend which feature heterosexual relationships are Nightshade, 7’scarlet, Bustafellows, Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly and Amnesia. As for the homosexual games, uhhhh I only played two and they were both either violent or had very emotionally manipulative characters, plus had uncensored sexy scenes. I’ll list them out tho since I’ve already exposed myself here. I liked Togainu no Chi: Lost Blood (Shiki is best boy) and No Thank You!!! (I actually didn’t like it that much plot-wise but it’s very unique… I liked the soft boy’s route, the one with the pinkish brown hair since he was literally a cinnamon roll)

It's not like a true dating sim in terms of there's only one romance option, but A Date with Death on steam is actually really well written and I enjoy the whole vibe for it
