Psychologically speaking, this actually makes a ton of sense. Someone who was forced to submit, who was abused, who had their consent, will and power forcibly taken from them is more likely to desire doing that to someone else. On the flip side, it’s why a lot of very powerful men pay to be dominated. When your life leans too far one way or the other, you crave the release of the other side.
