I swear i remember reading a youtube comment on a video, i forgot what the video was about, it was long ago for sure, but i remember this one comment bc it was too damn sweet, it was an old man reminiscing his old days when he got stationed in Japan, he was a former American soldier, on a certain weekend he went to the bar and went there with his fellow gay colleague and 2 hostesses accompanying them, solely just to hang out and chill then he met this handsome Japanese server at that bar and they fell in love, they became lovers but sadly the japanese man passed away young, my retelling story skill doesn’t do that man’s story any justice, the way he was writing it was so beautiful and genuine, it’s still occupying my mind once in a while and this manga reminds me of that old man’s story T-T

Omfg this chapter was a total kick in the gut for me, the part when he was lying about working overtime just to avoid meeting the others felt too damn real. Especially, knowing they’re celebrating their success while here you are thinking about what have you been doing with your life, it’s unbearable, you feel so tired of everything, and at that point you just want to be alone yet you only left with this lingering unexplainable loneliness and feel all hollow, it’s so fucking sad and depressing, it’s even hard to talk about to anyone because you feel that nobody would understand and you got no energy to do so
