Both cause pheromone can affect the brain. So either they attack physical or toward the mind.
Pheromone: it's like a scent someone emits when horny/lust/desire, they can't control it. I.e. Henrik cannot control his pheromones or what Mason hallucinates under that influence.
Mind hack: the hacker and victim are both lucid and every action/word said are of conscious mind and intent, but this happens in some sort of "mind realm" like in matrix. (You cannot use excuse like drunk/subconscious etc.) but while the pain feels real, it doesn't "show" on external body (unless killed (mind death), then body would also just die)

Ok last bit
The part where Charles ends up drinking because he’s curious. It could’ve been solved if Sasya properly explained why both he and charles aren’t allowed to drink. Notice how Karel explained it and he understood right away? A lot of adults seem to think that children can’t understand or handle a lot of things so they beat around the bush. This does nothing but stoke the fire of curiosity in them.

I loved that they don’t deny Sasya’s delusions snd acknowledge that his anxieties stem from real things, even if their attempts to help him weren’t the best lol. That’s very important to me. Like no matter how difficult you may think you are because of your mental illness, you’re still worthy of care and a solid support system. I liked that conversation they had, about Sasya relapsing. I love that he was able to give his own input about how he felt in the moment
“They’re dragging the kid into this” I mean YEAH. Their issues aren’t gonna magically disappear just because they have a kid. It’s gonna be an extra complicated childhood for him definitely, but he seems pretty happy right now. The only thing they can do for him as parents is minimize whatever harm that happens, acknowledge the harm when it does and take proper responsibility
