is Romance of the Three Kingdoms real history or just fiction?

In chapter 77, when MC is called Master Hua, there's a note that tells the fate of Huatuo in both official history and in Three Kingdoms Romance. Based on Wikipedia, the novel is part historical and part fictional, so I'm guessing that there's a lot of real life people in the novel but their stories may or may not be historically accurate.

This coach is so dumb... Guess that dude's play will be his last with that injury

It was his last game either way. That’s what he was saying a couple chapters ago, something along the lines “I’m either winning or getting injured”. If they didn’t win this game he wouldn’t be able to sign the contract with that college. This was his last chance. Also he was the one who convinced the coach to let him play. I understand where he is coming from. It’s either an absolute failure and end of a career/dream or a chance to make it with a risk of injury. Sometimes passion destroys us.
