I was kinda lookin forward to River slowly falling in love w Heil w/c was why I was shocked when we were reunited w/ God-mode River who is, for some reason, already in love w Heil. Back when he was human, it felt like he only thought of him as a friend at most.
Secondly, Khaol can suck deez nuts perhaps. But I think River's previously kind nature might make him want to help him again??? Maybe???? i wouldnt do it but that's cos im not nice lol

Yes yes, Heil was by his side in a lot of sad moments and don't forget when Heil confronted the woman( the goddess i don't remember her name) and stood by River's side
also he learned so much things, Heil was always teaching him everything and being so funny...remember the time when they went to the underworld(?) River was already feeling something but he kept denying it...
It did felt like it came out of nowhere, but I've noticed a few minor plot lines elsewhere that also didn't make much sense, but I just chalked it up to awkward storytelling. To be honest, Heil and the artwork are what's driving this story forward, and the main reasons why people read it.
River only cares for Heil as a friend--he just said that to Nana...but now that he is conscious that Heil likes him romantically, he is open to a relationship. Idt he is in love just yet but he is anxious/angsty about what to do about this. Remember, Heil has not confessed he likes River in THAT way...yet
