I also found the MC's extremely negative attitude an issue. Just too much to be at all likable, and with nothing really that did make him likable. So why would anyone like him, except that they have no idea how he really thinks and feels?
I think what the other guy (assuming the seme) would like or find cute about the MC (possibly the uke) would be the MC's weirdness and aloofness. He suddenly bursts out a trivia that no one really needs and wants to know and is quite out of topic, then be intimidated by it after. The uke is insecure and may or may not have experienced a bad type of relationship thus his hate on hetero couples.

i read the raws the mc cheated with the senpai and how come u can forgive hime because he has nat slept with him multiple times.. its not any mistake due to lust but kinda sin doing according to your free will if i were there i would have ended the relationship.
