Yes it does quite a bit, but they did that because of censorship, it's still pretty good though! The live action is more of just bromance rather than an actual BL, but the major plot points are still there, and you can still see the romance between wwx and lwj if you look at it closely hahaha. The anime is much more accurate, but it's still only at season 2, which is currently like I'd say 30% of the original story. Season 3 has been announced already though! I suggest you watch the drama and then read the original novel! :))
