Since he believe his friend's feeling is not the same kind of love, he rejects his advance and it makes his friend mad.
and then another friend from the beginning of chapter who said they want to punch his childhood friend is shown, he got a flashback that when he tried to get his bag back from the scene after he was punched, he saw MC and his childhood friend kissing and the yankee black hair dude (man no.2) eavesdrop on it (?).
