Honestly, I’ve been wondering if there’s a psychological term that could explain Yigon’s behavior. Some readers pointed out how overly passive he is despite being terrified of his brother, and I kind of agree. It’s strange how he’s not even aware (or maybe just pretending not to be) that everyone around him like his bodyguard or his secretary is working under his brother’s orders. Or maybe he is aware, but just completely powerless to act on it.

I don’t think Yigon is stupid or helpless. In fact, he probably could gather evidence and fight back. But what if the issue isn’t about ability, but about mental state? From what we’ve seen, he might be experiencing something close to learned helplessness or even complex trauma. He’s been controlled and manipulated for so long that his brain just… gave up on the idea of real freedom. When you live in fear every day, you stop thinking about long-term escape and start focusing only on how to survive today.

That’s why I don’t think it’s unreasonable that Yigon turns to someone like Taekang. Everyone else in his life is already “broken” and compromised. He doesn’t have anyone trustworthy left. So even if he knows what needs to be done, he’s too afraid and too alone to do it himself. Taekang, despite being reckless and blunt, becomes the closest thing to a lifeline.

I thought I’d take a break from this story for a while… but honestly, things like this are just too compelling for me to walk away from. Guess I’m here to stay and see :)

This is the first time I’ve found myself disliking the main couple in a Yaoi story. They just come off as dull and incredibly irritating. As for the bottom, Suha, I can't understand why he receives so much attention and sympathy from others when he’s the one who chose this path for himself. In simple words, he's a seg addict and belongs to the streets.

On the other hand, I absolutely loved the side couple. Their relationship may be toxic, but the character development of the red-haired one was outstanding. I genuinely wish they had a better ending; however, I believe both deserve different partners who are better suited to them.

Don't forget thst the main irritating couple played a part in wrecking the side couple's relationship by butting in. Annoying!!

I think it’s wild how many readers are quick to call Yigon “dumb” when in reality, he’s just deeply trapped. He’s a chaebol, but one who lives every second under surveillance, in a cage built by his own brother. Every move, every breath, even his own room isn’t truly his, and yet he still tries. The fact that his grandfather chose him as heir says a lot. That kind of decision doesn’t come without reason. He’s not lacking in skill, he’s just surviving in a system that’s constantly trying to break him down.

I understand why people dislike Taekang, but I also can’t help feeling frustrated. Yigon literally told him he’s being hunted, that his trauma is real. But the moment Yigon has a panic attack, shaking and sweating from anxiety, Taekang jumps to drugs? Even after being told it’s a smear campaign created by Yigon’s brother? That denial hits hard. Their “relationship” started with mutual benefit, but these two aren’t just pawns in a corporate game. They’re broken people thrown together in a world that doesn’t give them room to heal. The pressure of being a chaebol, queer identity rejection, family manipulation, it’s all too much, and yet Yigon still wants to live. That alone speaks volumes.

Honestly, I feel like we’re only scratching the surface of the story. It’s just the beginning, even past 30 chapters. I just hope more people can stop judging and start trying to see. If survival under constant fear isn’t strength, then what is?
