Great characters but unremarkable story line. Yuushi had a lot of potential as a character - he was cute and honest with his feelings, but I felt Shuu was just meh. Wasn't feeling it from him. The only really interesting one was Kitajima. Could have been a lot better.
Haaa, a lot of people not liking the last story because Mimi-kun opted to give up his dream of becoming a woman, so that he could get with a gay man. Are you kidding me? Mimi has it good - what I wouldn't give to have a dick so that I can have sex with a hot gay guy!

In some countries and cultures of Asia, in ancient times, males that were raised to be females for the duration of their lives were castrated. Some were made eunuchs, by physically having their testicals removed prior to puberty. Some were fed a daily diet of herbs that inhibit the production of testosterone before and during puberty and were thus, chemically castrated. Some, in more barbaric cultures, simply had their testicles crushed. So, if this story is a representation of ancient Asian cultures, the likelihood that Kaen has a functioning penis is small. Without testicles, the body does not produce enough testosterone to induce puberty and thus the penis remains that of a child through the man's entire life. The penis itself can be removed, but often the business of urine excretion becomes difficult and the patient/victim is prone to serious bladder and kidney infections. (Were talking about ancient methods now, not modern surgical methods.) Because of this, unless the person having their penis removed was a criminal, it was considered to dangerous, cruel or life threatening of a procedure to perform, particularly on those of social status or rank, and castration prior to puberty was chosen, since the penis remains in a state where it is "unusable" for anything aside from urination (ie. sex). Just a little tidbit of interesting trivia picked up from my "History of Medicine" course in pre-med. LOL

I love the realistic way Qaltaqa speaks in broken Japanese. I speak only basic Japanese (maybe like between 1st and 2nd year students), and I feel like that's how my speech would come across.
