I had two reasons: 1. My best friend recommended me her favorite shoujo/fantasy manga. After reading a bit of it, I thought that the dudes were drawn better and more attractive than the girls. I used to DESPISE reading manga. I did not like reading in black and white and it was frustrating to look left, right,and middle panels too.
