I think the “jerk” mugo really don’t like eating the sacrifices. He always make it a point to say how eating is a human thing and dismisses the hunger. So I feel like he do give them opportunities to run off!

i find it interesting how they skirted around the HIV and queer aspects of Torres' art, considering they're both integral to understanding his art.
i KNOW i was just rereading (im chomping at the bit for the next chapter) but queer readings of this manga have always been insane... the way he cries, and the way he faces the shadowy figure of a man who is clearly either the artist or his lover.... i dunno, I've always thought this anime was more queer than not, i think its doing something here by not talking about it (considering ryuji is openly gay, if this wasn't important to the theme of the chapter/arc then i think they would talk about it yk?)
