There are differences in between the Korean and localized English translation. Also there is a difference in English communication and Korean communication. Direct communication = “Turn on the light”. Indirect communication = “Isn’t dark in here.” (Indirect communication does not mean body language)
USA uses Direct communication as a whole more and Korean uses indirect communication as a whole more. Some of this does not come across in the English translation. But if you go back and look at Hajin’s words and what he is indirectly communicating to Hangyum it makes more sense, it is just Hangyum let it go to his other head. And most we did not see. It jump that conversation.
The localized changes things. One I remember from that chapter is Hajin asking was Hangyum following him not stalking him.
And yes the localized has changed it to being awful. Hangyum as the idol is actually going by Han and not Hangyum. That has lead to many awkward moments.
At the end with Hangyum asking if Hajin seen the award show and he says he will see. It is more special in Korean. Hangyum actually says this is the second time we seen the snow together and Hajin asks when is the first. Hangyum says it is a secret.
I love the Korean story but the localized version posted in the main is so-so.
The french did a better translation. The fan translations are staying true to the story. They had to put it on hold but they will have it up soon.
