I reply to both of you. This isn't a depiction of an open relationship at all. I don't know much about it, but you just have to do a quick research on the internet and you'll find out that: "an open relationship is a relationship in which BOTH partners gave their consent to explore other options outside of monogamy: from the introduction of new sexual partners into the couple, to MUTUAL permission to see other people separately."
This guy in the manga never cared at all about the girls he dated, not in a romantic way, not in any other way. He basically just wanted to collect f*ck buddies. The girls were probably into it at first because he was never really clear about his intentions, he "trapped" them with the premise of being in a relationship and they obviously hoped to make him fall in love with them, so it inevitably ended badly every time. And coincidence, when he fell in love with Kaede he suddenly became monogamous... Truth is, he's never been for open relationships. When you're in an open relationship it's still assumed that you're in love with your partner and are considered of their needs. He just wanted to f*ck around basically. That's why people call him an a**hole.

I know that the girls gave their consent bro, but I don't really care about them, I was just saying that this is really not how open relationships are supposed to work. You still have to be honest with your partner. Even if they agree to you dating other people, you should still let them know who you're going out with, when, where and what you do. If you go behind their back it's cheating. The key word is "relationship". Why do you even want a relationship if you don't want to be honest with your partner? That's just what I don't understand about Aimi's character. He agrees to be in a relationship with those girls but wants to do everything behind their back and doesn't want them to ask him anything, so I just want to know what's the point? If he agrees to be in a relationship of course the girls have some expectations. They still have their share of blame for accepting that, but certainly he's not a good person just because he let them know his rules. It would've been better if he just said he wanted f*ck-buddies...
Yeah I never considered this to be a realistic open relationship, I was just saying ppl can’t get mad at him or call him a scum if he communicated everything beforehand. Like he told them they can’t question him on who he’s with or what he’s doing and they agreeed LMAOOO so getting mad at him makes no sense to me bc why would u agree to that knowing u can’t handle it
