i actually like our side couple. i feel like it could have gone in many different directions, i mean cute young redhead who is hitting on older dude, sounds like sexytime heaven for a BL series but pan knows that qui jie is feeling things out so it's like he'd guiding him along, he's not taking advantage, and i like how qui jie's progressed. he's not just feeling out his sexuality but he's actually having more experiences outside of being a rich spoiled playboy. like the whole cooking thing, if he wasn't even a bit serious, would he have ever done that? of learning how to respect, just simple character development things
and lol, with this ending with him being serious looking, i wouldn't be surprised if they have more progress than our main xD while qui jie makes me super embarrassed, i feel like they have more communication going on, with uncle pan being older and taking things slow (but also being aggressive when need be), and qui jie shouting every little thing that crosses his mind
though i have to admit that they're more my dynamic than yuyang and lihuan in their current state. i like that spontaneity, initiative, banter. hopefully yuyang sorts things out (ideally WITH lihuan) so they can move forward
