I'm confused but after reading the comments now I know why the focus of the story shifted to the brother's love story. I wished they only focused to the first couple. I was expecting for more about them and I'm not satisfied by the way the author did it. I wish the whole thing was just all about them up until the end.
I don't really mind the second couple but damn, I wished the author polished the first couple a little more. The ending for the first couple felt underwhelming, almost like it's rushed

Goodness me... I thought the whole thing ended with only 40 chapters, so as I was nearing to chapter 40 I still can't seem to understand what type of ending it'll have when they still have a lot of problems going on. Thankfull that was only the end of season 1
