I think the father just like/obsessed with the fox lady, but because the fox lady was graped by him the fox despised him so much, esp when she knew he's the fiance of her friend(the wolf mother), and then because the lady fox conceived a wolf's child they ban her to the fox clan, which made the fox lady sad and hate her child...but when she starts loving her child her child got taken by the father coz he finds out that the fox lady was ban to her clan because of his child...so I think he takes the child so the lady can get back to her clan considering the father blame the child for getting his mother ban from their clan(which is literally the father's fault)...and one thing I thought too is probably he takes away the child so he can always see the fox lady... begging to take her baby back.
