So if it’s true that it’s going to be only 8 chapters then I guess this makes sense because it’s pretty much just showing their desire for each other and each confirming it but the author can take a different turn and take us to flash backs like when they were in high school to give a picture on how one thing led to another reach to this point and thus having more chapters as FLASHBACKS but then since it’s only 8 chapters then it’s just them confirming their love or lust or both for each other

I love the fact that this yuri manga has taken a more realistic turn like a it’s mirror of what happens in the now society like a bitter sweet kind of thing so for now it’s the bitterness that’s hitting so hard almost to think that no sweetness will come but be sure it’ll definitely come real good

Citrus is released monthly. It's part of Yuri-hime, it's like a yuri manga anthology. About the anime, the 1st season has already ended, but we still don't know if there will be a second season or not.
