all the mangas and manhwas ive been reading lately all have asshole semes or are rapey af and i just really appreciate that i can read this and have a stupid smile on my face bc its neither of those things

At this point rape and abuse unfortunately define yaoi for the most part. Obviously there's plots that don't romanticize and worship it, but you are really more likely to open up a webtoon or manga at random and that's what you'd expect. With at least 70% of yaoi's catalog consisting of abuse and sexual violence. You're better off with shounen ai, but even then that's not always a guarantee. Not to knock down only yaoi, when rape fantasies are commonplace in romance and sex centered genres across the board. It's just unfortunate that things not being tagged properly or given proper trigger warnings in a game of Russian Roulette you're more than likely going to lose.

i picked this up again and i skipped a couple of chapters cus i was kinda over chase thirsting after joel and hoooly shit i do not like joel anymore. im already not a fan of adults dating minors and i don’t know, im getting gross vibes from him now:/ im not caught up yet, and this is honestly such a pain to read bc i just want more of the first couple but i need to know if this story goes down the cliche route or if chase finds someone else. that probably wont happen but i got my hopes

i cant believe i kept putting off reading this its so wholesome and they’re so cute & in love and i like that the rape is actually addressed here instead of just be brushed to the side or downplayed. god it was so satisfying seeing the professor get fucked up, and i know that jungwoo isn’t done yet so i love that boy even more
i just realized i read this shit a year or two before i ever even heard of jojos bizarre adventure. i was watching season 2 and i kept wondering why they look so familiar and i couldn’t remember but once i did...god i am so embarrassed and SICK of me reading yaoi... but i mean i might as well reread since im here right?
