No, I think the author skipped the death flag when he survived the fall from the stairs and landing on Tia’s arm. He was supposed to get sick but I believe he got sick in the past ( or the vision) because of the troubles that was cast on the Lombardi family because of his son, son in law and the Angenas.

don't worry he gets to live to see the day when Tia becomes a mother. Though he would've died from anger hearing it.
