listen idgaf what anyone says. I’m only on chapter 8 but I’m having to stop because of how terrible written this has been. not even just the translation, but the overall progress of the script.
She jumps back to when she first finds out she’s preggers after death and there’s barely any palpable surprise. it’s just straight to planning her escape. no shock or disbelief just straight to trying to plan a better life. then with the ger suddenly being able to see spirits, she show no surprise or shock about how she’s able to see them in this life as opposed to her previous one where she went her whole life without seeing them..
Then it’s like she claims them to be a rare phenomenon and that people are rarely able to even summon them let alone contract them but no one shows shock or confusion in the face of suddenly having her wash away the fire.
Plus??? they show no real sense of novelty at all new life or at the way new things are happening in this new life. like a whole fire breaks out that clearly didn’t happen before yet there’s no sense of suddenness, confusion, or worry about the future that’s already unfolding completely differently. like, if that’s how the first 8 chapters are, i can’t even begin to attempt to finish it. I’m sorry i really wanted to as well.

first of all, i really like this style of comic where the angst is resolved fairly quickly and easily rather than having to sit through stress inducing plots, schemes and death threats. (Not to say i wouldn’t read one, but it’s draining how much emotional i expend with those types of comics)
on the other hand, it definitely felt rushed because we didn’t get any answer about who the purple guy that randomly popped up after getting “lost” on her floor was. plus, the last couple chapters was just sped through without so much as a mention of the uncle and his kid, the 2 brothers or even the mom. Everyone just disappears and you hear nothing about them in the last like 5 chapters
also, i really wished they kept the romance to nonexistent. I’m honestly not usually the type that moans bitch and complains about romance, because ultimately it’s never that serious, but I’m this? yeah I’m a little annoyed with it. it was nowhere to be seen (rightfully so) initially, only to pop up the moment she turned 18 and even worse, it’s with the ice spirit that basically had a father daughter relationship with her in the beginning only to suddenly develop feelings? nah.
Even the sister was about to fight the duke guy when she thought he was aiming for the little sister and he was only in his 20’s yet she’s brushes off the ancient ass already lived a full life ass spirit? nah insane work. honestly it kind of ruined how cute this novel was.

mama was in america for over 10 chapters and the one poc character was the tsa agent lmfao— anyway, it was way better than i expected

Nah fr, it gets to a point where it's just pathetic - like is your colorism so strong that you can't even fathom the thought of accurately representing the country you're supposed to be depicting? I try to avoid manga or manhwa set in the states because it's usually just an excuse to draw an unrealistic amount of blonde-haired blue-eyed people

the worst is when it doesn’t start in the states but somehow ends up there and you’re in too deep to drop it. i read chinese novels as well and the overwhelming amount of blonde hair blue eyes i see whenever the states is even remotely mentioned is insane. like damn even if they’re obssessed with depicting yt people, there’s gingers and brunettes too hell they even have a plethora of eye colors

The way they put the *idea* of white people on a pedestal is so sad :( (I say the idea because it's like you said, they're not even representing the white people you would actually see in the states.) Anyways, this has genuinely been cathartic. Most of the time when I point out shit like this people either don't agree (because they're white or Asian, so they've never noticed), or they think I'm overreacting

that part! it’s really interesting how asian culture really sees americans as either blonde hair blue eyed white people or black “hip hop” rappers. there’s really no in between.
but yeah, it’s very cathartic because usually no one mentions these things so it makes me feel like you said, overreacting

the whole smack down of the norther nobel dude at the end their was overwhelmingly underwhelming. like, i blinked and the rebellion that was barely even up and ready was over just like that. it feels like the author themselves got bored with this and just rushed an ending cause although most of the loose ends were tied, it wasn’t very neat

i wanted to push through this, but girl I’m so tired of this dumb broad. I’m at 33 and this is really just reiterating my biggest pet peeves in comics. like, you clearly know that your being alive has changed the “plot” and yet she still so seriously believes this man is either about to kill her or that he’s going to miraculously fall in love with isotta. then!! the fact that this dumb broad has been kidnapped/attempted kidnapping 2-3 times but still maintains ZERO level of caution around strangers.
like what do you mean you befriend some random man that popped up “coincidentally “ only to find out he’s the third prince and feel betrayed like yea duh dumb idiot, you’re literally in danger but still gallivanting around like shits sweet.
the whole runaway plot alone got me heated, not to mention too. how daft she is about everything else.

IKR. I so agree with everything you said in your comment. I have a problem with exactly the same things but unfortunately, it's so common for MCs to do all of those things and then some (like completely disregarding the ML's feelings and forcefully trying to set ML up with "the original FL"). It's so annoying.

see..i was with it up until around the 78th chapter when the translation came out shit. i mean for fucks sake, the whole thing with the Dang family literally just happened so how tf he ends up “in love” with some rando is beyond me, but whatever.
i could look past it if the plot continued to develop well, however it felt like that was where the decline began cause why tf did he get that crazy over the bird. Don’t get me wrong, i do understand that it became family to him, but ultimately it is still an animal so using it as the reason for revenge sounds illogical. Especially when he could forgive the insane torture they practiced on him because of the war and hightened caution everyone has.
But for him to start killing everyone and going crazy because of the bird just doesn’t fit. and let’s not even get me started on the girl. cause it makes ZERO sense that not only does she believe she can stop him from spazzing with the power of love, but the fact that she’s pregnant? baby, huh? I’d have thought the girl he was around during his travels would have made more sense, not this random chick! I’m literally so mad, i was enjoying this shit only to be disappointed by everything happening from 78-90 like i might as well drop it cause he’s pretty much the enemy of the entire society atp
thankfully i came to check the reviews cause i only made it to chapter 2 and was already getting annoyed at how she was so hell bent on trying to follow the plot even in the second life. and now I’m seeing they don’t even make much progress by 70? lol nah i don’t have the patience
