firstly them being brothers connects many puzzle pieces living together for years without any visible force but emotional force because yul probably is adopted and they grew up together the brother prob got too attached to yul so in order to not lose him he harmed himself so yul felt guilty and didn't leave his side
about yul questioning the lies his lover told many times i'm very happy i'm happy because he's clever in the end they both love each other so i know yul won't be alone i just want him to be happy hopefully nothing bad happens in the future i kinda trust his lover more too because he cares for yul now and using yul isn't an option anymore but ofc that doesn't mean he's pure
