I would've put this off longer had I read the comments, but I didn't & wanted to get it out my tbr. I had high hopes based on the cover. Hell, my hopes didn't shatter until the last 10 pages of this manga, I still had some form of hope...
It failed me.
I liked the developing friendship, even though it had a one-sided feeling to it. I wanted them to get to know each other gradually, I don't know what I expected of a 6 chs manga, honestly.
Not only is one of them completely dependent on the other emotionally, the other is staying with his rapist willingly even after calling what blondie did to him a crim, they also end up with one vague relationship status. Like... WHAT R U NOW?
& what do u mean 40!? They stayed like that for like 20 extra years?
It's no wonder it rotted on my tbr, it was fermenting just like their relationship I guess. Glade that's over ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
After reading Akatsuki no yona, I have absolutely zero found-family feels towards this squad. They just lack the feels for me, I don't know how they managed to miss this simple quota by a sea, they just didI can't seem to care about them, I feel nothing towards any of them, maybe only annoyance when I see them all in one screen.
I think it's because of mika and Yuu like they are the only ones who bonds like feels real. They have whole arcs of just them too and we are supposed to feel strong emotions towards characters who are essentially side characters now.
