honestly i didn't think about it and the story never explained about it right? they focus on fl's srore and the copycat store (which ofc we know that they are doing dirty thing from the money and with the money). cmiiw bcs maybe i put the wrong timeline (copycat is the first and they choose to copy every menu in fl's store)
beside that the first fl's store is open in the area that not much popular, but with that store many people started to come by. so i think it's a win win for them (ofc if we talk about the same line business, you will get crushed if you can't have a new idea. like copycat choose to not think and go 100% to copy the other's store menu)
