Rereading this for the third time, there are so many things I love about this story. I do am sad for alot of people in the story. I do in some way feel that Doyun’s (the one with one green eye) story got stolen from him by the bullies. He didnt have a moment to breath his only mistake is saying one sentence, and that in a state of pure horror. He even ran into a burning house and half of his face got burned. I’m also curious if what they had with Yuri was friendship but maybe could’ve blossomed into more but it just didnt have enough time (I ofc love Jaerim and Yuri the most as endgame but I feel like his story was stolen from him).I would’ve hoped if he got a happy ending with someone that can cherish him too.

The major obviously is trying to protect him, he has been doing this work for a long time and also has seen how it is and how people are treated when they aren’t privileged. There is sm to say about this story, but what really bothers me is the fact that the ML gets shitted on this much. Let’s be honest this was a time that if you would say something against the higher ups you would die, knowing the risk he still talked the shit. What did u expect? The consequences where laid out to you from the start, if he was such a good dad he wouldnt have taken the risk knowing he still has two sons he needs to raise.
MC needs to let shit go and understand that the ML only did what was expected of him to do, if not him someone else would’ve come for his dads head anyway.

Secondly the ML (especially for this time of era) treats the mc incredible good, so idk where the hate comes from for him? (Before the whole killing attempt obviously). Considering this era where Lord’s would just pick, choice and random people, he is considered to him and very gentle. Sorry, this was my rant.
