I'm not caught up on the original source material, but I would hope that in the future this "god" character could be a serious threat to Saitama, it could give him a hard time, maybe even nearly killing him, and in the end he defeats it. Unlike the other villains though, killing it would be impossible, and one day it will return stronger than before. This would allow Saitama to strive for something, to finally find a purpose for his power, and to increase his training. I think it would motivate the other characters as well, since unless he literally became a god, eventually Saitama is going to die of old age, and someone has to become just as strong or stronger for when that foe returns.

Tbh, that would really make the whole point One punch man over thought. Saitama was never struggle in any battle before. Well at least right battle. For example, the final alien boss in season 1 vs Saitama show Saitama was not able to finish him with one punch but it’s not even a serious punch. If Saitama actually fight seriously, no one can’t beat him.

Except he hit Boros with several punches before, they weren't serious, but that shows that it took more than one punch to kill him, which is "the whole point of one punch man" according to what you said. His whole point wasn't lost, and people didn't run away from the show because he didn't defeat boros in one single punch, he still beat him after the serious punch, and after hitting him many times before. People were even enjoying it because they thought Boros could force Saitama into revealing more of his power, which he did with the serious punch. That's the whole point, it'd be awesome if he showed all of his power, and found a need to gain even more.

All I can muster after reading the last chapter is Saitama's "Okay" face...like what???? So the "evil" god, wanted help resolving an environmental problem, and is going to solve it peacefully, and you, presumably the "not evil" god want him to kill people. Not just one evil person, but anyone who's a hero, regardless of what they're doing or who they are, as if they're nothing but cattle that have become diseased and you need to put them down. You can kill/remove the spirit, yeah...that sounds like you coping out of the fact that you ordered someone by the will of god to perform a genocide...nice "not evil" god.

And all of this started because he wanted some alone time with panties that a hooker gave him...in a period of time similar to the medieval ages, which means you couldn't even touch hookers with a 20 foot stick without getting every disease known to man. I guess his rationallity flew out the window when he set sail on that boat...

First and foremost, y'all realize this is fictional, right? He's in a fantasy world and I wouldn't say the timeline in the fantasy world is medieval ages and the timeline of a fantasy world can't be considered the same or equal to our timeline. Second off, you're acting like this God is any different from the current Gods that we actually have. It's pretty much universally known and recognized that Gods don't care about life and death in the way that humans do, cause Gods are immortal and don't have to think about it. Also, Gods are the ones who created everything to begin with, one life or even thousands of lives aren't worth much to them. It's not even a moral issue cause technically Gods are above morality, to them it'd be a cut and dry resolution to a problem; if there's a problem, easiest thing to do it to get rid of it. Even talking about the division of "holy" and "evil" gods is entirely arbitrary to the Gods themselves, cause what is determined to be "holy" and what is "evil" is decided by humans and the only thing that makes a God an "evil" God, is that what they represent is in opposition of what has been deemed (by humans) as "holy", which is based upon the majorities' ideas of morality and values (which even changes from one society to another). This God, unlike lots of Gods we have today, at least told him he could do it however he wanted and didn't necessarily have to kill them, as long as they were no longer heroes, he'd complete the task.

I see the point you're trying to make, but claiming gods are above morality is a bit redundant. Gods themselves judge others of their kind by their deeds, that's why you have gods fighting amongst themselves. They're not these strictly rational beings, if you're refering to the gods of our world, their origins from several accounts, and their poetic Eddas. Not all gods are gods of creation, some do create life, but a lot of them take it as well. Also some gods, like this one, are known to toy with human lifes for their own enjoyment. Giving tasks that they know humans consider cruel, and unforgiving. Claiming that "you can do whatever you want", and then backstabbing them by saying that's not what they inteded.

Gods are above morality, morality is an entirely human construct and that doesn't apply to anything or anyone outside our species, no matter how much we try and project it onto others. Gods are nothing but a concentration of certain characteristics and traits that we humans have then decided on our own what constitutes "good" and "bad", "holy" and "evil", "cruel" and "merciful". The Gods themselves aren't thinking this is "good", this is "evil", this is "cruel", this is "fair/humane", they don't care or think about any of that. You said, "like this one", but actually nothing this God has done so far has shown he is either playing with or doing anything "cruel", he's literally just managing the world together with the other God. Again, it was a pretty cut and dry resolution to a problem, the resolution only becomes "cruel" when we apply human morals and values to it. Based off the personalities presented by the two Gods managing this world, neither seems hell bent of doing things for pure entertainment or doing something "cruel", both are literally just trying to stop the world their managing together from being completely destroyed

Will he be able to defeat the demon king, and come out of the dungeon as a nation-level hunter!?

Even though it's evident
It's gonna happen
One more thing, in the LN chapter 212 (most triggering chapter for me)
Chae-in(S rank girl) had a somewhat romantic night with our ML and they fucking held hands together (and that's where I lost it)
As long as their relationship doesn't go beyond just FRIENDS and only FRIENDS I'm fine with it

I always knew vegeta was stubborn and he didn't want to learn any techniques from Goku because that would hurt his pride. I hope that with the yardrats he'll learn a few special techniques unique to him that Goku doesn't know, that way we're not always waiting for Goku to use Instant Transmission, the Kaioken or the Spirit bomb when things get tough.

I was hoping he'd realise he's not normal after he broke the records on the exam, but instead of that they're just going to completely deny everything he's done. This feels like a repeat of One Punch Man, except they at least had the brains to actually say: yeah he passed everything with outstanding results.

Yeeaaa...I'm all for comedy, but this feels too forced. Every time he shows his power every other single person just "happens" to be looking somewhere else, or just denies what they see with their own eyes. It just doesn't have the same quality comedy one punch man has. Also, there's no way that you can be that dense. You can destroy mountains by throwing a small ball at them, and everyone reacts shocked when it happens. Plus no one does anything even close to as destructive as that. Yet he still believes he's oh so weak...
I really hope this is just the setup for the big reveal that he's actually strong, but I have a feeling that I can already predict how this manga goes, based on the chapters so far and the title. Which is that this will be the entire story. He keeps on being a one punch man clone, except no one will ever see and/or believe it. So he will remain a "failed knight" and will keep believing that he's weaker than all those other "strong" adventurers.

They're not entirely denying their affection for each other, so it's not that awkward between the two where they assume the other has no interest whatsoever for the other. What I'm also surprised about is the continuity, usually manga such as this one have small time skips from chapter to chapter instead of following the story from the previous one.
I mean, we don't know the capabilities of this enemy, but I doubt most silver ranks would be fighting him this well or even survive this long. From what we've seen of his feats, and comparing to others. I think it's not far fetched to say that he's above most silver ranks.
But since his specialty is goblins, he'd be at a disadvantage...fighting dark elves or other humans, ogres, etc. requires different fighting strategies and equipment.. I think that evens things out for his silver rank
yeah, it does put him at a disadvantage, which begs the question, how does he always do so well against any opponent? He's been fighting goblins his whole life, yet here he is fighting a dark elf who's a good summoner, and clearly no pushover. So if you gave him time to adapt, he could find strategies against them.
I absolutely agree, he can apply strategies to any opponent but he does need to learn sword skills for open spaces and for opponents with a longer reach.....once he did he should be ranked up.
He would be a beast if he learned how to use different sword skills. With his willpower, and determination he could even give the hero a run for her money if he was willing to train for that sort of thing.
