I never seen the marriage before mates thing done before but I absolutely love it. I actually feel like I'll love a story more (depending on the plot and tone of it) if the relationship development is BEFORE the mate thing. Especially since you can divorce your partner, but you cant break the bond if you're an omega (at least in this universe you can't)

The Japanese word that they translated from is most likely 格好 which means "appearance." The connotation does include clothing though, which is likely why they used "outfit." "Appearance" definitely makes more sense though.
