Idk about the roles (not my cup of tea), whatever. but what I kinda keep thinking about is how he viewed all girls as faceless. perhaps "it's not that deep". or perhaps we shouldn't treat ppl like that and such assholery should have been addressed later on in the plot at least in some way
Maybe I'm reaching, but I view it as a way to say that he was never actually that much into women in a romantic way. Like, I'm a lesbian and I also hooked up with guys when I was younger, do I remember their faces? or did I put attention to their faces when I hooked up? no, absolutely not, but I remember that girl on my middle school classroom's face like I saw her yesterday.
