It’s interesting I guess but I can’t help but compare it to Dash it’s a little bland in that sense, I wish the swim part had more of an impact but we’ll see! It’s still very early, but other than that the characters seem very cliche hopefully it’ll pick up.
I loveee reading anything and everything including swimming as a swimmer. Analyzing small details are always fun even if they don’t rlly mean much to the plot. One of the biggest problem I have with swim plots is that SO MANY DONT WEAR THEIR CAPS RIGHT, they keep their hair pieces out in front when that’s literally the most annoying part, but it’s great that the artist isn’t doing that bc it’s one of my biggest pet peeve also the swim wear is interesting, idk if long jammer style suits are the style for Korea but those kinds are usually for open water than regular swim in my area. Usually grown men go for speedos over jammers in my area as well, so seeing a national world champ wearing that kinda suit is a little funny to me. I mean it could be a tech suit, but for practice is a little much imo.

Interesting parallel I saw was Brett tackling Hayden in the same manor Hayden did in the very beginning of the manhwa. It’s making me think that this rut is going to be a big turning point of their relationship. Though im unsure what they’re saying, I hope Brett gets his shit straight though. I have the impression that he still is holding onto that previous agreement, but if that’s the case I hope Hayden draws a stronger line between them and fully shows that he means what he says. Brett is kinda hard headed

The novel is sooooo good like it’s so peak. All the characters are so likeable and eui-jae is so tragic
I really can’t see the MC being stupid, he’s in a horribly abusive relationship where he’s literally being threatened and manipulated. Even the “calmer” “cute” parts have manipulation smeared all over it. The ML is horribly controlling and I really can’t fault the MC for leaving espc when he tried all other options and it led to him being abused. Of course he’d try to pretend everything is fine and try to follow along or else it would just end up leaving him in a worse off place. Why would he be miserable 24/7 when he can pretend everything is fine and happy? It’s how abuse works. It’s not just torture all the time but a “it’s good until it’s not”. It frustrates me how victim blaming these comments are, he’s not stupid but instead being taken advantage of.
