This is what I’ve been saying! 99% of their drama starts from Kynel doing/saying something hurtful/disrespectful to begin with. Tia is the one who is always putting in the work to support/understand him resolve misunderstandings/conflict, and promote decent communication
This romance story was doing so well by proving you didn’t need useless misunderstandings to further the plot and make it exciting and then this happens. They could have given Kynell some character development and have him talk things out with his wife instead of running away again, he could have been positively influenced by her.
I was imagining a very cute scene of Tia shyly telling Kainel she’s pregnant but instead I get a misunderstanding
Also I don’t understand why Tia didn’t tell Kainel she was pregnant but was letting that news marinate. After telling the doctor not to tell Kainel because she’ll tell him but doesn’t. Even after Ms. Harts funeral. Even after Kainel realized she was “sick” and tried to call a doctor she said she was “fine”. Also she’s telling the wrong people that she’s pregnant. Not Kainel or her maid. They know about the contraceptive tea she’s unknowingly drinking. I can only think that this was purposely done by the author to fuel the misunderstanding.
I’ll still read but I’m disappointed the author decided to go this route.
It’s like the story started off with good intentions of exploring healthy relationship dynamics, but ran out of steam along the way so they decided to just regurgitate the same overdone, middle school level crap you see all over the place
