When I saw a comment saying the plot is "unique", I was questioning how unique it can be, and boy they are so correct!
I mean it’s just an adaptation of an old tale in modern times with a twist. I've seen a lot of stories like this. Not really unique but interesting.

Yeah, I've read a couple series that take The Little Mermaid and add a modern twist to it, but it's not common enough to not call it unique. It's still more interesting than the safe, monotone slop I've been having to hold myself off with between updates of actual interesting series.
