Honestly, yeah this is a toxic bl manhwa but in actuality it’s really not that bad…especially since the other guy has some fight back it’s not just one person being mean it evens out the relationship making it more enjoyable (coming from a person who also dislikes abusive bl) I read the novel and the top really isn’t as bad as he seems right now. And he’s not an evil rapist abuser at most he’s just an asshole. Just my opinion though …if you don’t like it it’s fine:p
The problem is, we've experienced so much worse with this author via Keith that Chase is actually not that bad in comparison. Like someone else said, he's just an asshole that throws temper tantrums and has no behavior. I wouldn't go as far as calling him an eventual green flag, like others do, but he's more of a pink flag I guess? Maybe more of a purple? But anyway, he gets better!
The series is really worth it for Josh though. Like, honestly one of my favorite characters.
Yeah honestly, the bar is low for omegaverse tops but Chase never rapes or forces himself on Josh, Josh is fully capable of fighting back, but very open to having sex with him anyway. The Manhwa has already hinted at that from the beginning with the scene of Josh encouraging Chase to rail him harder lol (instead of the usual “No, no, wait, stop!”). But in the novel at least, Chase becomes super sweet and agonises over his treatment of Josh/is terrified of forcing himself on Josh. He’s not naturally a violent asshole, but he refuses to have sex to release his pheromones, which, as the manhwa has explained, means they build up inside him and make him a bit crazy lol

He’s actually really afraid of hurting anyone because of his traumas and how his family made him feel about himself…he’s not violent or abusive he’s literally just and asshole most of the time…they both desire each other even though they put on the front that they hate each other, they don’t. Especially the bottom being able to handle him and even fighting him willingly this is a mutual hate love relationship… idk where this person is getting abusive honestly I think they should be in jinx’s comment section with that

Just because he’s not the worst doesn’t mean he isn’t abusive. Using physical violence on your employees is abusive. It’s fine if your into these kind of fictional toxic stories, I still read them occasionally but we don’t have to pretend like the story doesn’t contain abuse.

This is funny to read when you know a lil bit of coding. Although most of the scenes were unrealistic（￣へ￣） but it's a manhwa after all ╮(￣▽￣)╭. It's a good read. Not the best but its not bad. Good for reading in one sitting
