I like all characters even Rogi... or... uhmm... Especially Rogi (￣∇￣")
In this series, I only have time for Rogi. Akitora and Ane-san seem like shit parents to be honest. In the other series (Yondaime Ooyamato Tatsuyuki) it shows Tatsuyuki having a flashback to a time when he saw a man being murdered in front of him (obv related to their Yakuza group), and the dad forces him to watch it happen and says something like it's so he can accept that such scenes are things he will have to cope with, in their line of work. Tatsuyuki then goes on about this being a trauma for him. Also in both earlier series Yondaime Ooyamato Tatsuyuki and Minori no Te, the dad is absent from the adult Tatsuyuki's life and it seemed like Asoda's was the one who brought him up, and still looks after him as though he is his own kid. Even if Tatsuyuki complains about him being a fuss and overbearing.
Ane-san died when Tatsuyuki was 7. Nothing yet has been revealed about this, or why Rogi and Akitora became separated personally (they are still linked to the same group for work though).
Another little detail. In "Yondaime Ooyamato Tatsuyuk" which is set around 24 years on from "Jealousy", it shows Rogi's office for work, and there's a big portrait of his daughter facing his desk. His relationship with his girl is far more healthy and loving, (there are loads of other examples too, just that one was quite sweet) than Akitora ever was shown in his role of being a father. Maybe when his wife died he became depressed and neglected his son, leaving the childcare to Asoda. And lost interest in having a love life, hence he abandoned Rogi too......
