honestly the hyung’s character was so underrated imo. ik he’s weird for being overly obsessed to his supposed brother but LISTEN i am not an incestuos relationship enjoyer, i just really liked the way how the hyung was written in a way, he’s similar to hyo un. just a more mature and collected version of him. the way how he was known as a one of a kind king to be recognized in their era but his only flaw being his strong emotions towards someone is peak writing, honestly it would’ve been better if they weren’t brothers but i guess that was a smart move on the author’s behalf because people would’ve gotten drawn to the second male lead. or maybe that’s just me lol. but the way how in all of his life, throughout all of his reincarnations, he’s just as devoted as hyo un regarding with taehyuk. because let’s be honest here, the reason why taehyuk died on his first life was not because of his hyung. but his hyung felt guilty all his life that’s why he lived his life with regret, patiently waiting for taehyuk to be reincarnated. the quote “ THE COUNTRY IS BEING TORN INTO TWO, WHILE HE'S JUST HERE FIGHTING A WAR IN HIS OWN HEAD...” says so much about him as a character and i think it’s such a beautiful way to describe him. and before y’all say i’m justifying his actions, no i love him because of his psychotic tendencies LOL. him getting rid of all of the traces hyo un has so when taehyuk was once again reborn it wouldn’t trigger taehyuk’s memories shows his devotion to keep taehyuk all to himself, HE IS NOT innocent whatsoever and that’s what makes me like him. i’m sorry lol this is just a long yap on how much i love psychotic semes but i really do wish author dove into his character more haha

tomo and naruto are my faves and they just remind me so much of each other (both are stupid and impulsive lol) and we also have shizume and sasuke who are cold and mean yet can still be caring in their own way anyways this is already my nth reread because i can’t count how many times i’ve already come back to this manga but i can’t help it it’s so good! it’s realistic and domestic, definitely one of the best reads i’ve had (≧∀≦)
