just started this and i'm confused why this has such high ratings when nakwon rapes mokhwa twice in under 25 chapters. and there's still so much left.

i started reading this forever ago so I forgot a lot (i do remember this scene though because i almost rated 5 stars but had to move to 4 because of it) but they nakwon really gets better i promise. the most recent chapters got me kicking my feet and giggling TT
like the other person said not justifying it, but they are fictional characters and even so he REALLY improves down the line.

i hate nakwon for the assaults and his shitty personality, too, and was hoping this wouldn't be a story that pardons his behavior or romanticizes SA. i am pleased to report my hopes were not in vain.
without getting into spoilers, just know this isn't a rapist's redemption story or whitewashing of his faults. the writer is very well aware of the fact that only a deeply troubled and self-respect lacking person (mokhwa) could come to love their tormentor.

I think the reason they're keeping grandma alive is because Dan said he's afraid to be alone. I think he had the courage to leave Jaekyung because he had his grandmother by his side. I think they're using her so when she does die later, he'll either run back to Jaekyung or Jaekyung will use her death as an opportunity to support Dan while he's grieving.

i'll never understand why people want Ian to end up with TJ... he's going to be subject to a life of abuse with him. they're awful for each other. so glad he's going to choose Jo. and if the author ruins it by TJ hurting one of them, i'll be so mad.

Right if ur just going to ignore their history and the red flags what’s the point of arguing otherwise. Ian doesn’t deserve to be tied down to his past and surround himself with constant reminders of his past with drug abuse and a brutal life he’s lived. He wants a new life with Jo… what’s wrong with that?
grandma is Dan's biggest op omg
right?? like dam telling all his business, she had time to gossip to jaekyung... just messy and the fact that man will most likely just use that information against him. doesn't sit right with me #-.-)
