Im confused. Can someone explain what is happening?

At the end of Bexan's story, Diesel asked the help of the wolves to rescue Ein from the mafia jerks who are pissed and trying to kill Ein for killing Yanek. Ein decided he was gonna kill their leader so the mafia dudes would leave him alone, so he tracked them and infiltrated their "hideout" to solve this once and for all but at the same time. Diesel, Kalifa and Milena were tracking Ein down and also infiltrated the place. Ein nearly got captured but the wolves saved him and shot im with tranquilizers so he wouldn't resist being saved or try to escape to finish off the mafia dude and get himself killed out of stubborness. All this will lead to the picture Diesel sent to Bexan at the end of the main story, stating he was able to save Ein. YOU Good now?

imagine being this daft
But maybe (maybe) she caught on so late because she expected the story to be enforced in the world. Its would be dangerous to assume this world makes sense because it is, in the end, a novel. So maybe she isnt as stupid as we think she is Maybe.

Maybe. But... there is a high probability that she’s stupid.
We, as readers, have an extremely vague understanding of this “novel plot” as all that’s been available states it’s a “romance,” there is a “villain,” and a “heroine,” and the “prince that needs to become an emperor.” We have nothing else. Nothing is explained about this plot.
Idk if it’s just me but the “novel” seems so bland and boring that I probably wouldn’t remember the characters in it, forget about the events that transpired. Probably would have dropped it after the reading the preface. It’s so vague, seriously.
Plus, the mc has been living idle but knows she has a high chance that she’ll be killed but isn’t doing anything after the fact?!!??! Like make an escape plan? Like save up? Stash up? Look at the blueprints of the castle for an escape!?! And if a divorce was so prominent in the story, then don’t prolong it for freakn years, you should have divorced ages ago but you didn’t care about the prince just your skin. If you knew the divorce was to happen and believed the prince didn’t believe/love you, why on earth did you stay so idle???? Like nah, I be building a stash of escape money and put it everywhere I could in case one escape route got cut off. This gurl didn’t think about ANYTHING.
This is all uuuugh. I’m just here for the cute prince.

True that about not being explained about the plot I suppose the orignial plot was just the romance and daily drama between the prince and gracie. To be fair, such boring novels do exist, and we are watching/ reading the changed version of the story where gracie isnt the main character. The romance has shifted to the prince and a side character, which is why there is barely anything interesting going on
Besides, the main character did try to increase her chances of staying alive by making a deal with that red evil woman and essentially staying out of the prince's bad books.
As for the delayed divorce, she couldnt do it before the prince met and "fell in love" with gracie because her spot would have to be filled after the divorce.
Im staying for the prince and his brother, but I dont particularly dislike the main female character.

Hmm, to be fair, there are boring novels in the world yes... but most have some events throughout the novel, heck, every chapter should have a mini arc and then conclusion/cliffhanger before the next... however, nothing is happening. Not with the villain (other than the events you mentioned with her and the prince -in the beginning- and the red “evil” woman) - like what was so “evil” originally about the main character? What did she do in the novel that had branded her the villain? They didn’t show or tell us anything about that and what or how she avoided these “death flags.” They only told us that the prince didn’t like her and neither did the red woman but there had to be a reason other than that, no?
Also, if she knows the novel soooo well, then this heroine is the mc of the novel “originally,” but her life is just as mundane and idle as the current mc... whats with that? Shouldn’t she have just as many events in her childhood/adulthood as the villain? Where were those events?
Plus, this “red haired woman” is suppose to be “evil” but all I see is a mother (with power) who wants her child to be on the throne... she seems like a rather reasonable person, cause I don’t see what the mc has done so far that would really win the heart if this woman who is suppose to be sooo evil. If anything, the Emperor seems the most flippant (unreasonable) and “evil” atm... like really? Your going to force me to a divorce when we’ve been together for how many plus years and for what reason??? Just for appearances?? Well, you shouldn’t have married me to you son then, yah jerk.
I get that this is the palace... which makes it even harder to believe that there isn’t anything (events) happening UNTIL now!!! Like uuuugh! Really? No social battles? No parties and small social quarreling/b*tching from other noble woman? No tea parties with specific ladies of houses? No friends the mc has made OTHER than the princes? No intrigue from the knights or barracks? It just seems that the author didn’t put much into this story (not the artist, love the art, it’s gorgeous... which is why it attracted me) but what kind of story am I reading? What is relatable with the mc to the audience? Why should we care about her dilemma? There is nothing tethering me to her other than a pretty face and her relationship with the prince. The plots weak, the character development is if-y, and the story overall is mundane and highlights the word SLOTH.
She doesn’t have to wait for the divorce to happen, she could honestly do much more to avoid it... since apparently, she had yyyyyyears to figure and work it out. But like, she’s all focused on the red woman when I think she should have also warmed up to the Emperor... cause he’s the one enforcing this divorce, which I thought she would know if she’d read the novel. See? These are such obvious mistakes and it’s mind boggling.
Usually, you challenge the readers knowledge as they progress into the story, making sure they see everything that happens, while still creating events and interaction that surprise and prick the interest of the readers... however, this author writes as if we know absolutely nothing and that we need to be spoon fed about events or current relationship status on mc and others... like we aren’t stupid. We know she’s changing the novel flow just by being conscious she’s in a novel. But saying she’s “smart” but showing her realizing this NOW after YEARS WITHIN THE NOVEL is laughing at our (the readers intelligence). Just say she’s dumb as a door nail, I’d believe you, cause she is.
Honestly, if she’s reincarnated into this story, I wouldn’t be so relaxed and comfortable in a world were I am “suppose” to be struggling with life and death situations... which comes to my next thing... there were no “death flags” in this!!! Where are they? The only person who is even close to death throughout the story ISSSS the prince, only because he went to war! Other than that, it doesn’t show anything of what is threatening her life, which is another sign of bad writing...

I agree completely. The main reason even I am staying to read any more of this is because of the art. ive probably gotten used to bad writing which is why i now barely notice the extent of how bad a story is. The social battle part: So true. i was really hoping for some politics to go about, but i was disappointed to see there wasnt any
What a disappointment. Good thing i skipped to the end after the third volume because i realised it was going to shit. The main focus the drives Belca wasbgo badly he wants to be happy with his #bro again and its like???? they talked ONCE. He had a more stronger relationship with the damn mercenary. A lot more shit irritated me but whatever i guess?
Eco was so interesting and he apparently quickly became a side character how sad
He turned out to be a side character I'm literally crying
