I don’t usually read just regular romance but now that I’m here I can’t help but root for Berne and FL to have a nice life. It’s been a nice, cozy connection. Her childhood crush was understandable and cute and I love that they had a real friendship but he rejected her 100 times.

Duke knows he has a crush and so does everyone else. 2nd brother has emotionally improved, Queen Mom actually cares about FL and isn’t just using her. FL is always doing something shady and willing to manipulate while still respecting her own emotions.
It’s fun, I’m just enjoying the ride at this point. The ball has been so messy so far and probably the funniest part of the story for me.

Ok him being desperate was hot and mean. The system curse is a huge pervert and definitely out to torture him. Like not being easily able to reach him, forcing restarts if there is failure, it’s just getting more and more intense.

There is literally no way to know what mission will pop up too. I love how this is smutty and hot but also the plot stays strong.
I am as invested in this story as I am in their missions.
