After reading this for the nth time, the most painful thing for me in this story wasn't the cancer nor cheating. Seeing their past, it's clear that Jiang Wenxiu wasn't a vile person before. Heck, it could've been a fucking fluffy shounen ai considering their past. But then you look at the present time and wonder, what happened? The contrast of their relationship during teenage years and present times is so big, and it hurts that a person could change like that. It would've been understandable if Jiang was an asshole from the start but he was sweet. It's like Zhishu is mourning for the loss of the Jiang he knew. He even wanted to go back to their teenage years even when dying. That's probably his most precious memory.
But yeah, that Jiang motherfucker still cheated and fucked around. I hope he never finds peace.
