ok ok not my cup of tea, but I died when he went to the party with a Furry's mask lmao what's up with the guns tho? that creeped me out af
Cole should work more in his confidence and self-esteem tbh
Yeah, I felt the addition of the gun to the plot was quite disjointed. I'm assuming it's set in the USA which obviously has more lax gun control laws, but it seems a bit improbable for a university student to have the funds to buy a gun, keep it in his university dorm/flat and also wave it about in public. The whole threatening others and himself with the gun didn't really come off as realistic, and the author could have conveyed his insecurity or erratic mindset without the use of the gun. Here, even criminals wouldn't carry or own guns as it would draw too much attention, yet we see the MC in the middle of the street showing off his gun, no police called either to investigate.
yeah, totally agree with you. Well, we can't expect him to get caught since is fiction, but I also think if Cole had gotten the gun AFTER Alex started ignoring him, it would have been the detonaning of the gun purchase, and also have worked as a way to show his unstable mental state more effectively.
I think this way (maybe) the addition of the gun to the plot could have worked, but as you were saying, it wasn't really necessary, and the author could have used something else.
