Yes, Woojin's brother (Jongjin) had told that guy about Hwon and we can say that Jongjin is responsible for what happened to Hwon eventually (although Hwon by himself is to blame for this). And I don't know whether Jongjin lied to Woojin about childhood friend's death or he really thought so due to wrong information... ╮(￣▽￣)╭
