The thing I usually love about Nitta Youka's characters are their balance of strength and vulnerability. So far, the MC in this just feels frustratingly weak-minded. I have hope that his character will grow, but, even after a time-skip of seven years, there's little noteworthy increase in maturity and mental strength to balance out his sensitivity and confusion. I'm just not enjoying any of the characters, really. :(
The problem with shoujo stories like this one is that, so often, they're cute and nice when there's the initial falling in love and getting together, but then become cliche and contrived once that excitement has passed. I always read these early stages HOPING it will be one of the less common ones that stays cute and interesting.
more than staying cute and interesting after getting together their excitement lvl rises up and it becomes more cute and interesting... with zero stinky flying rivals in and out and most supportive parents on both side..

I'd forgotten about them...
So, I'm pretty sure Naru is there, seeing all these people he cares about who he watched go through hurt and still carry that hurt, just wanting to get everything out in the open and have everyone confront their feelings and each other honestly and move forward.
It's just hard to like the smug, puppet master way he's doing it.
Oh! The hospital was completely based on the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne (where I worked for a little while; do a Google image search). That was a brief thrill. hehe
On the other hand, I get that he's not allowed to pilot a plane when he's sick/on certain types of medication...but I wouldn't think it would be OK for the other guy to pilot it solo, either! ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Yeah, isn't there like a rule that there has to be two pilots at a time ? Imagine drive a car for 11 hours straight without any help from someone else, i know theres autopilot but there should be a backup just in case. I just had was on a road trip, and can hardly stand drive 4 hrs straight w/o a break

This title makes me expect someone with terrifying fashion sense...
