How? The story is ever evolving. Like someone else said: it’s about Ian’s journey as he’s the main focus of the story and the story will continue to flow as Jo and TJ move in and out of his life. The plot still exists. Right now, the person Ian cares the most about was in danger and he wants to be there for him. At the same time, they’re still F buddies.
Have some standards ffs the dude just said sorry and then immediately crossed his boundaries again after he was repeatedly told to stop

I love how the author tries to paint the gym director as a bad person as if he didn’t give him a good deal. Hmmm the abusive rapist or the gym owner whose offering payment and transportation.
The writing is so shit too cause the author knew the contract Dan was offered was better than his current situation but he had to make the gym director seem like a bad person so he brought up the shady medicine

My biggest concern is that they are already having such a good relationship but it's only ch 6 AND they are also in the army I am having trust issues here
